PRODUCT DESCRIPTIONFluropon coatings are factory applied, oven-baked finishes based on polyvinylidene fluoride resin (Kynar 500® PVDF Resin-Based or Hylar 5000). Fluropon coatings are manufactured by Valspar, 701 S. Shiloh Rd., Garland, TX 75042-7812. Fluropon coating systems consist of primer, applied at a nominal dry film thickness of .25 mil, and a color coat, applied at a nominal dry film thickness of .75 mil. Some custom colors may require additional coats, such as a clear top coat and/or a barrier coat. Some aggressive environments may require additional coats, such as a clear top coat and/or a thick film primer. Contact Architectural Building Components for suggested specifications.
